Sorry this took so long but at least here it finally is!
I really wanted to draw Kleo doing whatever it is she does out there in the desert with all those little nippers, but I sort of ended up drawing her doing... nothing. Sort of. I mean, since she's the commander and all, I figured she can just give her underlings some orders (unpack those crates over there) and then kick back for a good tan. Of course, as soon as she's good and asleep, the nippers just start doing whatever. Because they're weird like that.
I also really wanted to put the faces of Mario heroes on the card deck the same way that the US Army does with terrorists on their card decks, but the cards were just too far away to pull it off properly. Maybe some other day...
Like my other recent pics, I have no idea how the colors turned out on this one (stupid new monitor...). I'll make some comparisons tomorrow and touch it up if need be.
And like I says before, I'll do something more current with the strip, too.
Oh MAN! This is awesome, Atticus! I love it!
So perfect too - so typical of Kleo to do something like this on the job - and the Nippers too, for that matter, stupid, cute little guys...
Thank you so much - this is great!
Haha, I was hoping someone would catch that title... I was worried it was a bit too hard to read!
And yeah, I kinda thought that Kleo might do this kinda thing from time to time, based on what we know about her so far... not that she's lazy, exactly... but maybe a bit over-relaxed? I dunno.
Anyway, I'm glad you like it! It was real fun interpreting the characters.
Holy cow, another awesome observation so quickly??
Yes indeed, I jumped at the chance to show off my idea of closed pipes (i.e. 90%+ of all of them) with the use of a plate steel cover. Super Smash Bros. Melee had some with wooden covers, but that made no sense as far as plumbing goes if you ask me.
Ah, I'm glad to hear about the coloring... after viewing my pictures on different monitors, it's become incredibly difficult to judge what I'm even doing anymore!
And yep, those blasted pipes that go nowhere... wasn't there one Pipe Land level where the whole thing was blocked pipes and you had to find the one "open" one to get out? Or maybe that was just part of a level... I haven't played SMB3 in a while and my memory's a bit foggy. (Shame on myself.)
Well... there's a few levels somewhat like that - even the one Kleo was in, 7-2 - it had a lower and upper level, and several pipes that were usable - but at the end of the level there were about 10 pipes in a row, with several piranha plants and a Nipper - and only one of them lead to the level exit - about the middle one, too...
And yes, the colour looks great on this, rest assured!
Yep, that is the one I'm thinking of! When I was little, that one part at the end used to drive me nuts. I could never seem to remember which pipe was the right one, no matter how many times I played it!
The upper/lower concept, on the other hand, was pretty cool. All those pools and P-switches and whatnot...

This is quite a valuable resource that explains in depth what a photography term means, and will help those understand who might not know what something is.

And the drawing is superb!

Oh, I forgot to say, the colouring is great on this! I like the shading you did on this - it came out perfect!
And the seal on the pipe was genius - explains why there's so many that you can't go down!
